Emerging research in geroscience suggests it is no longer a question of if, but when, we can delay, or even reverse, aging in humans. Yet, the public today mostly associates aging with increasing and extended infirmity. We need to break down silos among researchers, clinicians, product developers, regulators, patients, and other stakeholders, and educate law and policymakers on why healthy longevity is perhaps the most significant health care challenge and opportunity of this century.

This interactive pre-conference workshop will involve panel discussions on some stunning milestones in aging biology that is not broadly appreciated by the public or those in the field of aging in their implications; technical, clinical, regulatory,  law and policy challenges in the translation of such scientific advances into concrete protocols for public health. The presentation offers a call to action to GSA members and other attendees on what they can do to support and accelerate expanding healthspan and harvest the societal healthspan dividend.

This workshop is organized by Kinexum and The Kitalys Institute for the delay and prevention of age-related diseases, in conjunction with the GSA 2020 Annual Scientific Meeting Online
